Harley Davidson Night Rod - VRSCD
Harley Davidson Night Rod info - The Harley Davidson Night Rod (VRSCD) is part of the VRSC range (which stands for V Twin Racing Street Custom) which began in 2001 with the V Rod. First released in 2006, the Harley Davidson Night Rod came with many exciting features, a distinctive look and a deep and throaty sound. Offered in a range of colours (vivid black, deep cobalt, black denim, chopper blue, brandy wine sunglow, two tone rich sunglow blue and chopper blue, fire red pearl and vivid black or black cherry and black pearl), the Harley Davidson Night Rod looked modern and polished but maintained a hot-rod inspired motorcycle appearance. The Harley Davidson Blue Springs (Kansas City, Missouri) operations facility is responsible for producing the VRSC range.
Harley Davidson Night Rod - Features
Harley Davidson Night Rod info - The Harley Davidson Night Rod was given many features to attract customers and amongst these was a 69 cubic inch, V2, four stroke engine and straight shot mufflers, producing a whopping 120 hp (horse power) -this was more than the original V Rod. The Harley Davidson Night Rod also had mid-mount controls, highway pegs, aluminium body panels, black frame, Brembo brakes, disc wheels, a colour coded fairing and screen visor. Categorized as a custom cruiser, the Harley Davidson Night Rod also featured ESPFI (Electronic sequential port fuel injection), an air cooling system, 5 speed gearbox and belt drive. To assist this beast with stopping, the Harley Davidson Night Rod was also given double disc brakes at the front. With a fuel capacity of 3.7 gallons, an adjustable seat height (ranging from 26 inches up to 27.1 inches) and chrome, straight shot dual exhaust pipes the Harley Davidson Night Rod was a welcomed upgrade to this line.
Harley Davidson Night Rod - Similarities
Harley Davidson Night Rod info - The Harley Davidson Night Rod seems to be a cross between the V Rod and Street Rod, possessing some of the best features from both of these previous models. The distinctive 1130cc 60 degree V Twin will turn heads and encourage questions. Designed as a stretched out, low sitting cruiser the Night Rod is light and powerful. The fuel tank is positioned differently to other Harley Davidson ranges and can be found under the seat instead of the traditional upfront. The black frame, engine case and stainless steel handlebars are all similar to that of the V Rod. The Harley Davidson Night Rod features a two person saddle, enabling the rider to carry a passenger (but only for short trips rather than long touring) and one way to identify it from other VRSC models is its little drag-style headlight fairing.
