Harley Davidson Rocker - A Stylish Softail
Harley Davidson Rocker info - The Harley Davidson Rocker FXCW and Harley Davidson Rocker FXCWC were introduced in 2008. Many feel that these models were a long time coming and are overjoyed that Harley Davidson finally launched the Rocker. Custom builders have been making similar looking choppers over the years to meet the demands of those who wanted a motorcycle with a low seat, large rear wheel, stretched tanks and long tall forks. However, these bikes may not have always come with a warranty, reliability and exceptional handling. Now they do, and they can be bought directly from the Harley Davidson Company in the form of the Rocker.
Harley Davidson Rocker - FXCW And FXCWC
Harley Davidson Rocker info - The Harley Davidson Rocker is offered in two very similar models (FXCW and FXCWC). The FXCW (custom wide) is the raw solo version, designed for one rider and is slightly cheaper than the alternative FXCWC (custom wide chrome) which accommodates a passenger seat, a plethora of chrome accents and additional stylish features. I doubt the Harley Davidson Rocker would be very comfortable for a passenger over a long distance, so if you are a passenger you may wish to encourage your driver to look at the Touring range. These softail designs allow the rider a far more superior comfy ride (due to the hidden rear suspension) whilst looking like they are riding an iconic 1950s style hardtail chopper. However, although the Harley Davidson Rocker looks to be based on the softail range, it doesnít replicate it identically. The chassis and drive-train used on the Rocker was designed particularly to house an additional 4.5 degrees of rake and a huge 240 mm rear tire.
Harley Davidson Rocker - A Low Ride
Harley Davidson Rocker info - Covering the rear tire is a fender thatís attached to the swing-arm and this it seems is where the name Rocker came from (as the fender rocks with the tire). The fender is however sturdy as itís joined to an inner layer of steel for added strength. The rear tail lights on the Rocker are taken from the Nightster model and are illuminated with LED lights. The Harley Davidson Rocker (FXCW) is claimed as the lowest of all production bikes currently on offer in the market; however the Rocker custom wide chrome version does sit an inch higher than the custom wide. This additional height is due to the passenger seat being stored away under the solo seat.
Harley Davidson Rocker - Passenger Seat
Harley Davidson Rocker info - The passenger seat on the Harley Davidson Rocker FXCWC has a weight restriction of 250 pounds, so you may need to consider this carefully if the plan is to transport any heavyweight wrestlers on the back. A bolt-on passenger seat and luggage rack is available on the solo Rocker (which can be bought separately) however this may not be as solid as the FXCWC fold away option. The Harley Davidson Rocker also sits very low to the ground, so it may be a suitable choice for the shorter of Harley Davidson riders.
