Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle - Trademark 'Screamin' Eagle'
‘Screamin’ Eagle’ is a registered trademark of the Harley Davidson, Inc. and was filed under goods and service - motorcycle engines (not to be confused with the Six Flags Roller coaster in St Louis or the urban dictionary…). In the interest of good grammar, we’ll consistently use the ‘g’ throughout this page. Screaming Eagle motorcycles are a line of high end Harley Davidson bikes and are well sought after throughout the world. For this reason, we have detailed the Screaming Eagle models that have been included in the Harley Davidson CVO program. However, you can apparently purchase Screaming Eagle kits and accessories outside of the CVO program for your Harley Davidson motorcycle to improve its performance and status on the open road.
Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle - Used In The CVO Program
It was in 1999 that Harley Davidson launched their CVO (custom vehicle operation) program. The models included in their CVO program all have their own unique colour schemes, accessories and exclusive characteristics and are available for one year only. There was initially a limited amount of motorcycles produced within the CVO programme with only 900 FXR2 and FXR3’s made. As the demand for these special custom motorcycles was so high, in 2000 the FXR4 and the Screaming Eagle Road Glide (FLTRSEI) were introduced to the line, the latter amalgamating state of the art touring design with Screaming Eagle parts.
Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle - 2001 - 2004
Jump forward to 2001 and the Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide (FXDWG2) and the new Screaming Eagle Road Glide (FLTRSE2) were added to the program. In 2002, it was the Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide (FXDWG3) and the Screaming Eagle Road King (FLHRSEI). 2003 celebrated the 100th year Anniversary of Harley Davidson and saw the Harley Davidson Softails join the party, in the shape of the Screaming Eagle Softail Deuce (FXSTDSE), plus a new Screaming Eagle Road King (FLHRSEI2). Introduced in 2004 were the Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle Electra Glide (FLHTCSE) and a new Screaming Eagle Softail Deuce (FXSTDSE).
Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle - 2005 - 2007
In 2005, there were three further models added to the CVO line up (making their debut) with extra chrome and custom paint - Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle Fat Boy (FLSTFSE), the Screaming Eagle V Rod (VRSCSE) and the Screaming Eagle Electra Glide 2 (FLHTCSE2). In 2006, the Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle Fat Boy (FLSTFSEA), a new Screaming Eagle V Rod (VRSCSE2) and the big touring beast, Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle Ultra Classic Electra Glide (FLSTCUSE) were also made part of the CVO program. In 2007 the list lengthened, and we saw the inclusion of four more models: The Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle Softail Springer (FXSTSSE), the Screaming Eagle Dyna (FXDSE), the Screaming Eagle Road King (FLHRSE3) and Screaming Eagle Ultra Classic Electra Glide (FLHTCUSE2).
