Harley Davidson Skulls
There is little evidence to confirm why Harley Davidson began using a Skull as an emblem, but they do have a decorative collection of parts designed by Willie G Davidson on their website that features various covers, pegs, plates and caps for adding extra style and character to your motorcycle. It is not only the official website that sells skull decorations for your motorcycle though; there are multiple suppliers that offer a range of products for your motorcycle and on all types of accessories and collectibles.
Harley Davidson Willie G Skull
The Harley Davidson skull range available directly from your local dealership may include Willie G Skull Derby and Timer covers, Air cleaner trims, Teardrop mirrors, Hand grips & End caps, Heated Hand grips, Shift pegs, Foot-peg kits, Brake calliper inserts, License plate mounting and kits, Fuel caps (such as the picture above), headlamp, passing lamp and tail lamp Visors, Axle nut cover kits, Valve stem caps and various medallions (chrome or antique nickel). All of which offer a shiny and custom skull look to your motorcycle.
Custom Harley Davidson Skull
Prices of the Harley Davidson skull accessories range depending on the product, but quality is guaranteed if you buy it directly from Harley Davidson. The decorations are designed to attach to an assortment of parts, but to not spoil the contours of the body work - so it looks as though they are original parts even when covers. Harley Davidson skull medallions can be added to most flat surfaces (such as battery covers or sissy bar uprights) with an adhesive.
Harley Skull Collection
Other Harley Davidson custom skull parts you can buy on-line for your bike or vehicle include Skull exhaust tips, large bulky skull mirrors, skull rocker box and horn covers, skull signals and head lights (where the light comes out of the skullís eyes!) and skull shift knobs. How legal some of these custom parts would be is unsure - and if you want your motorcycle to be legally road-worthy you may want to check, but they would really add a cool custom look to an already cool bike.
